Timber Gates manufacture and supply high quality wooden entrance and boarded gates. The development of the web site allowed the company to expand from a local market, to supply it's products nationwide. 

Based on an brochure supplied by the company, the original site used line drawings of each style of gate, together with information on how they were manufactured and how they should be hung.

A simple cream and green colour scheme reflects the companies existing paper based promotional material.

High quality photographs were later added to the site, to help give customers a feel for the natural wood materials and level of workmanship that characterize the companies products. As the file size of the photographs is relatively large, the site loads with the smaller line drawing by default to keep download times to a minimum. Users can then use a button to toggle between the drawings a photographs should they wish.

An innovative feature was used to display the range of ironmongery available for use with the gates. An image map was created to act as an index to the various products shown on a large photograph of the range. By moving the mouse over the image, the names of the products are made to pop-up alongside them.
